50 cara menggunakan Minyak Zaitun

Here are 50+ ways how-to use olive oil:

1.  Treat sunburn.  Olive oil soothes the pain of mild sunburn by helping skin retain moisture.  Put equal parts olive oil and water into a tight lidded contain.  Shake well and rub on sunburn.

2.  Condition hair.  Apply olive oil to dry hair and let soak (even overnight).  Rinse out for soft, conditioned locks.

3.  Remove paint from your skin.  Rub olive oil onto paint stuck to your skin, let sit for a few minutes, and rub off with a clean rag.

4. Exfoliate skin.  Mix together 1/4 cup olive and 1 teaspoon of sugar or salt.  Mix together and rub on skin to remove dead or dry skin.

5.  Remove makeup.  Apply olive oil to a cotton ball and wipe off makeup.

6.  Firm and tone skin.  Combine equal parts olive oil and water in a tightly sealed container.  Shake well and apply to skin to help tone and tighten your skin.

7.  Shine household surfaces.  Appliances, faucets, stainless steel and laminate surfaces all benefit from a light coating of olive oil and a gentle buffing.

8.  Darken and strengthen lashes.  Rub a small amount of olive oil on your eye lashes everyday to help darken and condition them.

9.  Prevent hair loss.  Replace hair products filled with chemicals with olive oil to help keep hair healthy and prevent excess hair loss. 

10.  Saute food.  Use olive oil as a substitute for butter or other oils to saute food.  Avoid high heats and never use for frying.

11. Moisturizing bath.  Add a small amount of olive oil to your warm bath water for a luxurious, moisturizing bath. 

12.  Reduce the appearance of stretch marks.  Combine equal parts cocoa butter and olive oil for a stretch-mark minimizer.

13.  Prevent prematurely gray hair.  Olive oil is filled with pigment and if used in hair consistently, it will naturally darken your hair.

14.  Aid digestion.  Eating olive oil on a daily basis is said to help regulate your digestive tract.

15.  Replace shaving cream.  Rub olive oil on your legs or area to be shaved and shave as usual.

16.  Kill lice.  Warm a quarter cup of olive oil to a comfortable temperature, then work it through your hair to the roots. Wrap your hair in plastic wrap or a shower cap, then heat your hair with a hair dryer. Allow the oil to sit on your hair for up to a half hour, then shampoo as usual.  Repeat process every few days for a month.

17.  Condition cutting boards.  Rub a small amount of olive oil into wood cutting boards to condition them.

18.  Soothe baby skin.  Use olive oil instead of baby oil to help soothe and soften baby's sensitive skin.  Also can be used to help prevent diaper rash.

19.  Waterproof leather.  Buff a small amount of olive oil into leather shoes, baseball gloves, etc. to protect them from water. 

20.  Darken eyebrows.  Comb a small amount of olive oil through your eyebrows everyday to darken them and help them grow. 

21.  Minimize cellulite.  Mix used coffee grounds with olive oil for a topical cellulite treatment. Apply it directly to the skin. 

22.  Combine with butter for a healthier bread spread.   In a mixing bowl, combine one part softened butter and one part olive oil. Mix on low until the oil is whipped into the butter. Refrigerate and use it as you would butter.

23.  Keep baked goods fresh longer.  Replacing butter and other oils in baked goods will help prolong freshness.

24.  Use as a natural vitamin or supplement.  Replace your daily vitamin with 2 teaspoons of olive oil for your daily dose of Vitamin E and other benefits. 

25.  Prevent dry scalps.   Use olive oil as a scalp conditioner to moisturize your scalp and relieve itching.

26.  Cure or reduce acne.  Although it sounds counterintuitive to use oil to fight pimples and blackheads, using an olive oil and salt scrub helps some types of acne.

27.   A medium for cosmetics.  Combined with natural pigments and beeswax, olive oil makes inexpensive, natural lip-gloss, blush and even eye shadow.

28.  Give you a safe sunless tan.  Use olive oil as a medium to make self-tanners go on more smoothly and evenly. Mix equal parts of a commercial self-tanning product and olive oil. Apply the mixture to your skin and enjoy your streak-free sunless tan.

29.  Protect your red blood cells and heart.   Over time, cells oxidize, leading to the common effects of aging. A specific polyphenol in olive oil is especially effective at protecting your red blood cells from oxidation. 

30.  Curb your appetite.  Having olive oil in your diet consistently makes you feel full and tends to make you eat less and have fewer sugar cravings.

31.  Moisturize your skin.  Olive oil is closer in chemical structure to your skin’s natural oil than any other naturally occurring oil. Use it as you would a body, face and hand lotion.

32.  Reduce bad cholesterol levels.  Olive oil contains polyphenols, which help to keep your levels of LDL cholesterol within healthy ranges.

33.   Make your arteries more elastic.  Consuming two tablespoons of olive oil daily makes you more resistant to strokes and heart attack.

34.  Reduce the risk of stroke in the elderly.  Older people who ate diets rich in olive oil consumption, which contains plasma oleic acid, had fewer strokes in a 2011 study.

35.   Lower the risk of coronary heart disease in women.  Mediterranean cultures have long praised olive oil, with good reason. An Italian study found that a diet that included olive oil along with plenty of leafy vegetables and fruit resulted in reduced rates of coronary heart disease in women enrolled in the study.

36.  Help fight breast cancer.  Olive oil contains phytochemicals, and a 2008 study found that they are effecting at killing cancer cells and suppressing cancer genes.

37.  Improve your memory.  Some research has shown that olive oil can prevent and possibly even reverse the memory loss that accompanies Alzheimer’s disease.

38.  Keep your lips soft and supple.  Make your own lip balm by combining olive oil with equal parts beeswax. Put it into a small glass jar and apply it with your fingertip.

39.  Prevent heart attacks in men.  A 2008 study showed that men who ate at least two ounces of olive oil regularly reduced their chances of having a heart attack by 82 percent as compared to men who ate no olive oil.

40.  Polish wood furniture.  Wipe wood furniture with a teaspoon of olive oil and a soft rag.  You can add a little bit of vinegar or citrus juice to up the cleaning power!

41.  Improve nail beds.  Use a bit of olive oil to moisturize cuticles, or mix oil and water and soak your hands for a few minutes before a manicure.

42.  Tame frizzy hair.  Comb a bit of olive oil through dry hair to tame frizz and flyaways.

43.  Stop snoring.  Take a sip of olive oil before sleeping to lubricate throat muscles that cause snoring.

44.  Cure an earache.  Very carefully, use a cotton swab to apply olive oil to the outside of the ear cavity to help with earaches and excess wax.

45.   Shine your shoes.  Rub your shoes with a spray of olive oil and buff with a rag to help maintain their shine.

46.  Care for your cat.  Add a teaspoon of olive oil to your cat's food to prevent hairballs and provide a shiny coat.

47.  Clean garden tools.  Apply olive oil to your garden tools to help with dirt buildup.

48.  Fix a squeaky door.  Use a rag or cotton swab to apply olive oil to the top of squeaky hinges to help lubricate and stop squeaking.

49.  Fix a stuck zipper.  Apply olive oil a cotton swab and rub on the teeth of the stuck zipper to help pull the zipper tab.

50.  Clean greasy hands.  To remove grease from your hands, pour 1 teaspoon olive oil and 1 teaspoon salt into your palms.  Rub the mixture into your hands for several minutes then wash off with soap and water.  

51.  Remove paint from hair.  Moisten a cotton ball with olive oil and rub on paint in hair until it lifts the paint.  Wash and rinse as usual.
